THQ wastes no time, starts pitching Darksiders movie

Recommended Videos

The irony! THQ is usually in its element when it comes to making games based on movies, but it’s wasted no time at all in trying to make a movie based on a game. Darksiders was only released on Tuesday, and the publisher is pitching the IP to Hollywood, as well as planning a potential comic book.

“We’ve gotten some interest from Hollywood, we’ve talked about doing a comic series,” explains Joe Mad. “At least a couple of those things have to happen, I’m sure. It’s really a THQ thing, but I know they are definitely talking to people and I would be surprised if some of that stuff didn’t happen.”

Looks like THQ is keen as mustard to turn Darksiders into a big franchise, and the positive reviews seem to indicate that it has potential to go far. We’re playing through it right now and have been quite impressed so far. Stay tuned for our review, coming soon!1
