A designer's mistake or unannounced port?
[Update: Square-Enix senior PR man David Yang tells Dual-Shockers that the posters are indeed a goof. It just goes to show: even the official artwork is not so official sometimes.]
A sharp-eyed Redditor noticed a PC logo on one of the Final Fantasy: XIII-3 posters that I photographed. It could simply be a mistake (most likely), as the logo placement is similar to the Final Fantasy XIV poster, and the official product page lightningreturns.com only shows the PS3 and Xbox 360 logos. The graphic designer may have just goofed.
Or not.
Could it be a careless leak? The posters did just go up today, so its not entirely impossible either. Back in 2008, Square-Enix denied that a PC port would come to pass -- only to then shock the world with an Xbox 360 release. That was a long time ago and this third installment is dramatically different than the first, so that could possibly be announced this week.
Until we hear more from the source, chalk this up as another one of those crazy E3 rumors.
