This fan-made Animal Crossing: New Horizons game shows just how creative people are getting

Spin the wheel

What's the coolest thing you've done in Animal Crossing: New Horizons? Made a custom town? Unlocked a rare item? Well the activity in this story is totally doable, so maybe if you haven't done anything special yet, you can set this up for your friends.

Reddit user maxy_ac definitely knows how to think out of the box, having created this ingenious "spin the wheel" game. The gist? You spin both wheels at the top of the grid, then dig up the coordinates: "you could get anything from a tree branch to a gold nugget or rare furniture," maxy_ac says.

Setting this up yourself is very easy. All you need is custom designs for the 1-8 and symbols (which you can make on your own in minutes), and the wheels themselves. From there, you just dig up a grid and place items in the holes.

The only unfortunate thing is that according to many users, the wheels are not perfectly synced online (different players see different symbols). If that happens, you can just have the host use the chat feature to communicate what their wheels say.

Good luck! It's crazy how players are coming up with new things to do on a weekly basis while we wait for basic quality of life features.
