These AC/DC Live ads will get you pumped

I understand why commercials for music games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band show people, well, rocking out — but it always seemed like deceptive advertising to me. Well, I guess “deceptive” isn’t necessarily the correct term. But the ads usually show people jumping around and bobbing their heads, and anyone who’s even a semi-serious music game player knows that if you start really getting into the music, you’re pretty much guaranteed to start missing notes.

But I get it. They want to show that they’re providing a full band experience, that you can feel like a rock star in your living room. That’s cool. If you want to check that out, watch the above video, which is a commercial for AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack that started airing last week. It features “Whole Lotta Rosie,” and there’s another one after the jump with “Let There Be Rock.” The latter song is on the Rock Band 2 disc, but both of these ads use the Live at Donington versions from the track pack, naturally.

If you want to read up on the track pack itself, check out my preview.
