The Lost Wild is a Jurassic Park-inspired survival horror game

We saw some glimpses and updates from some really great titles, both new and old, during the Annapurna Interactive Showcase today, and they closed out the show with a look at a new title from Giant Ape Games called The Lost Wild.

The trailer opens showing off a lush landscape teeming with dinosaurs, and a protagonist running through a dark forest with a compass. As the protagonist finds what appear to be old research facilities, it’s only a matter of time before some T-rexes show up, and we get a glimpse at tense encounters with the giant predators. It looks like the core of the game is going to be exploration and stealth, and I’m sure there’s even more to this adventure than we got to see today.

The whole thing is definitely giving off the tense, grounded feel of the first Jurassic Park film, and I can tell just from this short trailer alone that this game is going to scare the crap out of me in the best way. The game was announced previously, but this is the first time we’re seeing Annpurna’s name attached to the project.

We don’t have any word on a release window yet, but The Lost Wild is available right now to wishlist on Steam.
