The Golden Compass announced; Harry Potter fans rejoice

Magic spells. Talking animals. Escapades through frozen wastelands. Got a chubby yet? You can have all this and more in the upcoming game The Golden Compass, based on the first book in the award winning His Dark Materials trilogy by Phillip Pullman. Pullman’s fantasy series definately will make Harry Potter fans wet their pants, and surely the game and upcoming film adaption will be no exception.

The game is slated for a Fall 2007 release date and will be avaliable for PS3, PS2, Wii, Xbox 360, DS, PSP and personal holographic eyeball projector. I made that last one up, but if there was such a thing, you can be sure this game would be avaliable for it. On a more thrilling note, Daniel Craig will be playing the role of Lord Asriel in both the film and the games. Sounds like good motivation for both male Bond fans and women furiously masturbating over the new 007. How did I change topics from a fantasy world of armored bears to furious masturbation?
