The Game Awards are back this December

Exactly six months from today

We’re less than a week away from the convention where we’ll get our first proper look at a lot of this year’s biggest games. Before that happens, we have confirmation of the most public-focused awards show that will celebrate the best of those games.

Geoff Keighley’s Game Awards is set for December 6 this year — a Thursday, like always. Again, this show will take place in Los Angeles. Tickets will go on sale this Friday on The Game Awards’ site.

This marks the fifth consecutive year of The Game Awards. However, it’s spiritually longer-running than that. The Video Game Awards were an annual staple on cable channel SpikeTV from 2003 through 2013, which Keighley served as a producer for. When Spike canceled it, Keighley started his own show in 2014.
