The Evil Within trailer sets stage for a nightmarish tale


Resident Evil creator to brandish latest horror adventure at TGS

Survival horror has certainly seen better days. A show of its former self, the genre is at a crossroads as its marquee franchises search for an identity in a new age. The market is ripe for exploitation and it looks like The Evil Within might just be the game to fill the void.

Just in time for Tokyo Game Show, a new gameplay trailers lays the groundwork for what looks to be a terrifying journey. Director Shinji Mikami will be on hand at the event in Japan to showcase his forthcoming project ahead of its 2014 release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
