The Evil Within 2 is real, coming Friday the 13th this October

Announced at E3

Detective Sebastian Castellanos is back in The Evil Within 2, which is now real, and dropping on Friday the 13th in October. It'll hit the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms, and tasks Castellanos with saving his daughter in a "once-idyllic town."

Bethesda didn't explicitly say it during the stream, but it seems like horror master Shinji Mikami is back in some capacity for the sequel. There's a lot that Bethesda can fix in the follow-up given that the original was a veritable Swiss cheese of game development that came together into a beautiful mess.

Bring it on Mikami and company.
