The Banner Saga getting a cooperative tabletop miniature game

Warbands

Stoic released The Banner Saga last year, and it was a great strategy role-playing game. It had characters on a square grid, drama, and lots of death. Basically, it was ripe for conversion to a board game.

Today at GenCon, Stoic and its partners MegaCon Games and Versus Evil announced just that: the trio is working together on The Banner Saga: Warbands. Details are extremely light outside of that announcement, with the official site showing only a logo and a note that the project is set to make its way to Kickstarter in the near future.
