Taito has announced today in Japan that Puzzle Bobble Live! is on its way to XBLA, priced at 800 MS points, bringing along this gallery full of screenshots with it.
If you live in North America, you probably know Puzzle Bobble as Bust-A-Move, which is most likely what this new version will also be called when it makes its way to the states. The game’s single-player mode features 135 stages, split into 5-stage “zones,” as well as a Vs CPU mode and Endless mode, which has your Xbox Avatar come out to bother cheer on Bub or Bob as they’re trying to work. There’s also a 2-player mode, both local and online.
Taito will be also be offering additional downloadable stage packs, consisting of 135 new stages each. The first includes stages from Puzzle Bobble 2, and the second a collection from Super Puzzle Bobble and Puzzle Bobble DX. They’re to be priced at 240 MS points each, and win the award for most unneccessary thing I’ve heard about since I got up this morning.
Puzzle Bobble Live! hits the Japanese XBLA on September 30th, with no date specified for the US version as of yet. You can hit the gallery for a look at what to expect until then, and we’ll keep you posted.
