Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin adds more CHAOS with DLC in July

Stranger of Paradise DLC

Trials of the Dragon King is out on July 20

It looks like we’re getting a Stranger of Paradise DLC pack fairly soon, and it should remind you of some classic 2010s addons. Wait, Stranger of Paradise DLC? Well, there was a season pass for it, so it seems like this was always the plan, as far as Square Enix is concerned.

Although upfront season passes with micro-expansions feels relatively “2010s,” the first one is fully confirmed for July 20, as of this week. The publisher has revealed Trials of the Dragon King, which will usher in new equipment, as well as new jobs and challenge missions.

The trailer below gives us a look at a few spoilery boss battles, which seem to be the core focus of the DLC. Two more DLC add-ons will launch at some point later on (likely this year given the short timing window): Wanderer of the Rift, and Different Future. The last one sounds uh, significant, if the title is anything to go by.

If you’re interested, you can check out the season pass options here. A Game of the Year edition with some patches and all of the content is really going to hit the spot down the road, for everyone who understandably waited on this one.

Here’s a trailer for the new Stranger of Paradise DLC, but note that it does contain spoilers for the main story if you can piece it together:
