Pre-orders open September 22

Microsoft has officially announced the price and launch date of its new next-gen hardware. Xbox Series X will launch on November 10, priced at $499 USD. It will retail for £449 in the U.K.

Today's official announcement follows yesterday's reveal of Xbox's cheaper, lower-powered model, the Xbox Series S. The Series S will also launch on November 10 at the lower price of $299/£249.

Microsoft also detailed its previously rumoured finance option: Xbox All Access. This option will allow purchases to spread the cost of either console, an Xbox Live subscription, and an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription over a period of 24 months at a cost of $24.99 per month for the Series S, or $34.99 per month for Series X.

This option will be initially available in 12 countries, with individual retailers serving as the credit holders for each country's customers. More countries will be added in 2021. You can find a full list of qualifying countries and their respective retailers on the official Xbox website.

In one final announcement, Xbox also revealed that the EA Play service will be automatically included as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Pre-orders for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will go live at retailers on September 22.
