thatgamecompany's Sky: Children of the Light is finally flying its way to mobile

After so many delays

thatgamecompany, developer of the award-winning Journey and Flower, has been hard at work on Sky for several years now. The game, originally announced as an Apple exclusive (iPhone, iPad, Apple TV), has seen tentative release dates come and go, but now it looks like its ready to fly. Now called Sky: Children of the Light, the game is set to release on Apple devices next month.

Yes, this is something I need in my life. Sky: Children of the Light is described by thatgamecompany as an online-only "social adventure" game that allows players to explore seven dream-like realms with players around the world. People can team up and explore darker realms, exchange candles, create harmonies, and more. The game will feature seasonal events with planned expansions of the realms to come down the line.

If you don't have an Apple device, thatgamecompany is promising the title will come to Android, macOS, tvOS, PC, and console down the line.
