Strap in for the long haul with PS4's Mega March sale

PlayStation Store deals running from March 18–31

Sony's Mega March sale has around 500 PS4 game deals running until March 31, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. PT.

Whether you're ready to hunker down and trim a few titles from your backlog or stock up on PS4 games for the long haul, many of us suddenly have more time to play than ever while we're stuck at home.

There's a monotony to covering PlayStation Store sales, but I like doing it. I never know when I'm suddenly going to feel the itch to get that one game I've not-bought six times before. Even though the same stuff tends to pop up in these sales, it may look more (or less!) enticing based on what else you have going on in your life, what you're in the mood for right this second, and what your budget allows.

That's a long-winded way of saying there's another sale to parse through, and you may or may not get much out of it, but I'm sharing it anyway with the hope that some of you latch onto something nice.

What looks good? I think a lot of people will end up with GTA V ($14.99), The Witcher 3 ($11.99), The Forest ($9.99), Resident Evil 2 ($19.59), Fallout 4 ($11.99) and/or Fallout 76 ($19.99), and Bloodstained ($25.99). It's a good time to start Monster Hunter, too – the base game is only $14.99, the Iceborne expansion is $29.99, and the Master Edition with World and Iceborne is down to $40.19.

Amazon has Borderlands 3 for $20, so try not to be tempted by the $40 Deluxe Edition.

If you need PS4 games with local co-op, I would look at Human: Fall Flat ($7.04), Overcooked 2 ($14.99), Don't Starve Together ($7.49), Earth Defense Force 5 ($29.99), Alienation ($14.99), LEGO City Undercover ($7.49), PixelJunk Monsters 2 ($2.99), and Knights and Bikes ($14.99). It's also worth pointing out that the Jackbox party game series is discounted. The latest, Party Pack 6, is $20.99.

If you want something for PlayStation VR, consider Astro Bot ($14.99), A Fisherman's Tale ($9.74), Battlezone ($13.99), Until Dawn: Rush of Blood ($5.99), and Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin ($5.99).

If you want to hear a few under-the-radar PS4 picks, not enough people played Concrete Genie ($14.99), Donut County ($6.49), and Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey ($29.99).

And if you need to bust out some Ape Escape 2, the PS4 re-release is just $3.99.
