SteamWorld Heist's first screenshot leaves me wondering

That's gotta hurt

While I tend to get annoyed when studios put out a lone screenshot, I can tolerate the practice depending on the circumstances. Image & Form doesn't have much in the way of assets for SteamWorld Heist, its turn-based follow-up to SteamWorld Dig, so I'm okay with it here.

This image (find a high-res version below) shows "main protagonist" Captain Piper firing on an enemy steambot named Jack the Crippler. Neat. But I still don't have a firm grasp on how Heist will play. Perhaps this first screenshot puts us one step closer to the first gif.

We'll have to check in with the development blog. You know how I feel about gifs. The game is scheduled for release in spring 2015 for undisclosed platforms.
