SOCOM: Confrontation update delayed until January

A few weeks ago we reported that SOCOM: Confrontation would be receiving an update that would fix over 100 different problems. These ranged from gameplay mechanics to network functions. A recent update on the official SOCOM blog indicates that the patch has been put on hold because of the holidays. The team wasnít able to push it through the validation stages and as a result, wonít be coming until early-to-mid January.

The lack of the update has members of the SOCOM community up in arms. The posting that delivered the news has over 200 comments, the majority of which are fairly negative.

The SOCOM community is a dedicated bunch Ė but it seems as though the vocal minority feels rather cheated. Honestly, they probably have every right to. The game isnít as polished as it could have been and itís a shame. Hopefully, Slant Six will be able to deliver the goods after this holiday break.

[Thanks, Tony!]
