Some movie stills from the upcoming SyFy movie Red Faction: Origins were posted over at Comic Book Movie and it looks deliciously SyFy-y.
The movie that bridges the storylines of Red Faction: Guerrilla and Red Faction: Armageddon sees Robert Patrick -- who continues his recent run playing crazy guys in mediocre movies -- as Guerrilla protagonist Alec Mason. Brian J. Smith (Lt. Matthew Scott in Stargate Universe) plays his son Jake Mason, who will probably father Armageddon's protagonist Darius Mason at the end of the movie or something. It's like a soap opera!
Some of the other notable actors and actresses include Ana Mulvoy Ten (House of Anubis), Roger Ashton-Griffiths (Gangs of New York and a million other things), Gareth David Lloyd (Ianto from Torchwood), Tamzin Merchant (The Tudors) and the guy who played teenage Dexter in Dexter.
It looks terrible, so I suggest you all go watch it on TV when it comes out. In the meantime, check out the movie stills here. And because nobody really cares about yet another video game movie, you should know that SyFy is also working on its masterpiece Piranhaconda. Yes, Piranhaconda. With a possibility of a future Piranhaconda vs. Sharktopus. You can even vote on which is the better monster!
