EGS is on a roll
It's all just a matter of perspective. That's the lesson learned in 2013's Fez, a whimsical puzzle platformer that's centered around a screen rotation mechanic. It's also the current subject of Epic Games Stores most outstanding tendency: Giving away free games. Fez is free now through August 29.
Without wishing to put the cart in front of the horse, it's next week that's really worth looking forward to. The next Epic Games Store freebies are Celeste and Inside. Those are two of the best indie games in recent memory, each harrowing in their own way. That combo will supplant Mutant Year Zero and Hyper Light Drifter as the best duo of Epic Games Store giveaways thus far.
