TGIF Open Thread!

Good morning Destructoid! It's that wonderful time of the week and year! It's Friday and New Years day! Seriously, fuck off 2020!

2020 was one hell of a year in all the wrong ways. 2021 does not have a high bar of expectations to be better. It should be a great year in comparrison but who knows...

We should be fine! You know, maybe. Keep your heads up and stay safe as always! We're not going to go from wacky to vomiting flowers and rainbows overnight.

To celebrate the new year, the gf was able to get the day off. So we're going to take a nice 2 hour drive up to Payson and take some views in. We'll of course have our mask and stay away from other people as much as possible. We're both pretty excited about it as we both really need to get out of the house. Payson is full of beautiful views and just the drive there alone is nice and relaxing. As long as your car isn't a beater and can handle climbing all those damn mountains haha

We have some big things planned for 2021. We're officially building a house. Not us ourselves, I'm not that crafty, but the house is currently in the process of being built. It will be farther away from work then I want, but it will be totally worth it as it's a nice big sized house with 4 bedrooms and a nice sized garage. I haven't lived in a house since I was 15 years old, so it's a strange feeling. I've worked my ass off to get to this point, so I'm proud of the acheivement as well as in a mild state of disbelief. I've been so used to being broke and barely making rent for so long that this almost doesn't feel real. It will be real soon enough come April/May when the house is complete and I'm handed the keys.
