First of all NOBODY is forcing you to read all of them at once take it 1 character at a time so it’s not overwhelming I had to do 5 each part there is 58 characters I’m not posting them individually that would be spam but I will list who is in each part. Feedback in the comments on each part thanks it does help knowing people actually read this gives me hope.
This has in order Mii’s Gunner, Swordfighter, Brawler, Palutena and Pit/Dark Pit. This one’s another short one only Palutena took long and clones count as 6.
I am making these changes based on the original Smash 4 characters that’s what this was originally for. In Ultimate and this is “My” opinion is they were just twiddling their thumbs all this time all they did is very minor changes like giving someone a combo throw, very small knockback increases or decreases changing the animation of an attack slightly adjusted but works exactly the same or Marth’s (Shield Breaker) can be angled now or Captain Falcon doesn’t squeeze their skull with both hands anymore with (Falcon Dive) for some unknown reason I mean really? I do not have any of the DLC characters I don’t like any of them so I had to fix them how I saw people use them. The only major changes they made were in the (Gameplay) section.
Anyway there are a bunch of characters that are bad or over powered but they seem to just be ignoring it or they just don’t know what to do, the (Gameplay) section fixed a lot of moves. I will fix specific moves here I know this game inside and out I should have a PHD in Smash Bros I am decent at using all of them or I wouldn’t be qualified to make these changes. Every single character has a fix of some kind I’m not doing them in any particular order I’m doing them by series the first group will be the ones that are alone and have nobody else from their games I want them to keep their Customs because that’s literally all they have. I will be posting 5 characters at a time sections can be 10 pages or over 20 pages long depending on how much I had to change. You can tell when a character is struggling or overpowered because you can feel your limitations or freedom while playing as them. They need to revamp some of them completely like look at what I did with Kirby when we get there it was so obvious the stuff he could do but his moves were basically half complete like they were rushed after all this time since Brawl they didn’t think of anything? Only Zero Suit Samus and Olimar got major changes from their transition from Brawl.
The primary goal of this section is to fix Special Moves there are so many characters that just cannot use their Special Moves at all like Jigglypuff and Palutena some don’t even do what they’re supposed to or like most characters just made up, that’s what makes them unique only they have those moves that makes them special the character themselves don’t exist without Special Moves. Using only Ground and Aerial Attacks can make them only 3 types a speedy combo character, regular balanced attacker or a hard hitter that’s it. Some characters have no business being in this game they just cannot exist the mechanics don’t allow it but I did my best to help them if they are too weak or over powered I had to fix them accordingly. I fixed everyone in terms of balancing but characters I liked I made new Custom Moves for so I am biased in that way those ones have extra moves.
I prefer casual free for alls with items but I do watch competitive 1 on 1 matches my favorite players are Boss, Kiraflax, Zage, Gimr and Leffen but he only plays Melee. I have an announcement to these people that hate the “slower” Smash Bros games play with 1.5 speed it looks just like Melee. Most of the players I liked watching were forced to quit like Boss or switch to a top tier because they’re tired of losing and I don’t blame them their characters were no match for the top 5 characters in the game that can K.O at basically 0% with elevator combos or something gruesome.
In order to make these fixes I had to look at both the casual and competitive sides to make the right changes some moves will be forever bad 1 on 1 because everyone is focusing on only you there’s no one else to interfere like Ground Pounds.
I made these fixes so each character can be the best they can be and evening the playing field for top tiers instead of only 10 to 15 that’s only like 20% of the roster. It's going to come down to who has the better move sets and statistics meaning matchups. The only way to have an even 50/50 balance is if you fight the same character your using there will always be matchup problems for close ranged and long ranged characters mid range characters should have the least problems since they can deal with both because of a versatile move set. There are a couple of characters that had so much potential but they didn’t give them most of their tools like all the abilities Kirby has or all the power ups Mario and Luigi could have used for example.
I will use these below to label how I changed something. The characters with the most issues will have the longest sections making them high priority or I made some new moves for them. Some characters like Duck Hunt only need a few fixes to make them much better overall. I did the best I could and I spent most of my time on this last section and it is over 120 pages long. There were some very difficult characters to fix because they shouldn’t be here the things they can and cannot do is just retarded.
These are the labels I will combine them with a “/” if they need a fix and a change of some kind. I said this earlier but remove all Custom Moves if it is a clone we don’t need a more powerful version of a K.O move or an even weaker combo move only keep Up Specials that go higher for better recovery or lower as an attack move.
(Fix) To describe a move that needs fixing they don’t have to be bad to fix but usually I can make good moves even better or moves with potential to be good by combining their customs into the original I found myself doing that a lot like literally almost every character. This is used the most.
(Remove) When a move is so bad or over powered it's beyond fixing or I have a replacement.
(New) When I come up with a move for that character which will usually be a character I like if I don’t like them enough I’m not qualified to make new moves for them my new moves would lack effort and be incomplete because I just don’t care enough. I see it myself like when I get to the 3rd Custom that move lacks or more like I lack the enthusiasm to complete it. I hate making up moves if they don’t have enough they just don’t have enough period which are usually the character’s that got in for no reason like Wii Fit Trainer, Duck Hunt and Mr. Game and Watch their moves are just weird.
(Change) This is for changing a move completely to something better it’s usually a strong suggestion of a move from the actual game to replace a made up move, changing a moves direction input, name or a move I made to fill the hole after removing a move. I will also be using the specific moves name or I will use the type of move like (Neutral Specials) so you apply that fix to all of the moves meaning the default and customs under (Neutral Special).
(Gameplay) To assign Attack, Defense and rarely fix certain characters passive abilities or Speed. I use this on everyone but the Miis. I also describe what I fixed primarily and give my personal tier ranking from Bottom, Low, Mid High and Top Tier but I will try very hard to get everyone to at least Mid Tier.
This will be posted at the start of each part so nothing is confusing if you weren’t here by part 1.
This is my 2nd favorite Mii. All of the Mii’s have very good move sets but their Special Moves are holding them back they all have different moves for customs but they feel rushed and unfinished making them either bad or over powered. Mii’s are fully customizable and since they don’t have defaults they are not used competitively for some reason. I’m not doing (Gameplay) Attack or Defense for them since they already vary by your Mii’s height and weight making them balanced they even slow or speed up their attacks like I wanted them to do for (Attack) in (Statistics). My main problem with all of the Mii’s they are just clones of certain characters they could have so much more they are supposed to be like real life people. This is Mii Gunner and uses an Arm Cannon like Samus there are a lot of different guns out there and you can still use grenades they could have been like a soldier a gun specialist they are still too PG if Bayonetta can exist they should be able to use guns she has guns on her heels I mean really? I could make a move set but not enough time for all of the Miis maybe later.
I’ll basically be fixing almost all of their special moves everything I said here applies to all of the Miis. Mii gunner is basically a better Samus solid air and ground game but doesn’t have a good Side Ground Attack. High to Mid Tier.
(Fix)-(Side Smash) The closer you are to the arm cannons final blast to launch the more damage and knockback so chipping doesn’t deal the maximum anymore. Could have been a Shotgun.
(Change)-(Side Ground Attack) Change this to a horizontal slash with the arm cannon Strong or a kick that can be angled Medium. This is just a grounded weak short ranged shot they need a stronger attack to knock foes away than this.
(Change)-(Front Aerial) This is just like Villager’s sling shot. Change it to a copy of Samus’ or a horizontal slash with the arm cannon.
(Fix)-(Up Aerial) if you land during this move the next shot should launch them not cancel to drag them down with you.
(Fix)-(Laser Blaze) Allow this to be held down and aimed in any direction in front of you by moving up and down straight upwards to diagonally below and remove the slight push it has deals 2% damage, 3% close range.
(Fix)-(Grenade Launch) This is one of the best projectiles in the game I love this move extremely good in a free for all. It can be used at point blank range to interrupt combos but unlike (Trick Shot) you don’t take any damage and is difficult to avoid because it's a lingering move. Triple startup time so you can’t use it basically like Duck Hunt’s (Trick Shot) and make the explosion a single blast so you don’t get caught so easily then followed up with a different attack and you get hit as well it is a grenade. I guess if you want at full charge it can multi hit.
(Fix/Rename)-(Flame Pillar)-(Flare Shot) This is a horrible move. So much cool down, so weak and it doesn't travel that far at all. Every time you use this it's basically an easy punish for your opponent hit or miss. To fix make them shoot a flare diagonally upwards that burst into multi hitting flames on contact with a surface or opponent burns the floor for 5 seconds dealing damage to anyone standing on the flames. Dunno probably should replace this move.
(Fix)-(Stealth Burst) I have no idea why this has Helpless Falling :/ Anyway all the invisible burst needs is Gravitational Pull before it burst so it can connect more reliably or double the size of the explosion.
(Fix)-(Gunner Missile) This is so slow to the point if you use it off stage you’ll almost die and the projectile never hits it’s too slow and the faster one can just easily be blocked or jumped over. Make startup and cool down 25% faster so you can use the homing one as cover to get close or stay away and the faster one gets out fast enough they don’t have as much time to react.
(Fix)-(Absorbing Vortex) Should have super armor, absorb physical projectiles and a shockwave to launch nearby foes when released Medium.
(Fix)-(Echo Reflector) Should be able to use as a secondary shield and startup should knock foes back Medium.
(Fix)-(Bomb Drop) This is good for ledge guarding but it barely moves at all. Allow it to bounce instead of roll and last longer before exploding and explodes automatically on contact with an item or opponent.
This character is a lot better they got nothing but buffs their attacks are much faster and smoother now. This Mii has the worst Special Moves but my favorite normal move set because they are different from the other Mii’s this sword fighter doesn’t exactly steal any moves. But again there are many different blades they don’t have a shield even though they use a 1 handed sword this one is the only one with real combos though. Their Special Moves use a lot of different warrior type moves for example they have a Ninja’s (Shuriken of Light), Samurai’s Quick Draw (Counter) and Dagger type (Airborne Assault). They don’t have any axe, mace or spear users in the game yet. If it were me I would call this a Blade Specialist.
Special Moves still have a lot of startup and cool down their normal attacks are above average. This is my favorite Mii they do have an over powered Up Aerial but I love their Neutral Aerial. I currently use Momohime as this Mii. High to Mid tier can possibly make top 15 since their normal attacks are so solid.
(Fix)-(Up Aerial) Decrease it’s knock back to Medium and allow it to multi-hit it’s too strong and looks like a multi-hitting move.
(New)-(Held Front Aerial) I like the tapped version but they really need an area slash in front. Make this a downwards slash since their Back Aerial is an upwards slash Strong.
(Fix)-(Blurring Blade) Why would you charge this over a Smash Attack? Gonna make this a shield breaker. Since these are rapid thrust it won’t push shields so it can eat away at its health before using the final lunge to launch which is Medium/Strong deals 10% to 50% shield damage based on charge.
(Fix)-(Gale Strike) This is really weak slow startup, cooldown and doesn’t travel very far just a terrible move. Allow this to be charged for up to 3 seconds to increase its power, size, gravitational pull and distance traveled up to 75% of a form stage Weak/Medium. Decrease startup and cool down by 25%. It should also catch physical projectiles, items and foes. At full charge it can multi-hit while carrying them and burst shooting them upwards at the end of the move.
(Fix)-(Shuriken of Light) This is so weak and takes so much time a worthless projectile even if it does hit deals more damage at range for some reason. Decrease cool down and start up by 25% and allow it to be charged for up to 3 seconds to throw a larger, stronger and faster shuriken Medium/Strong. Range should not matter anymore it makes no sense the closer you are the more damage not the further. If used airborne you can throw up to 3 shuriken diagonally downwards Weak 1 at a time each angled a little bit further based on charge but charges quicker in the air.
(Fix)-(Airborne Assault) One of the worst moves in the entire game. It goes such a long distance and you can fall off stage easily even if you use it in the middle of the stage uncharged. Even if you think you hit your opponent they can just dodge or jump and watch you descend to your death because of helpless falling. If helpless falling was removed your still probably going to die because of the angle it leaves you at after using it. About the perfect position to be ledge guarded even if you had a jump to use.
To fix allow us to click the attack button or special to automatically swing the sword. If you hit a wall, foe or shield you should bounce back like you would if you hit them. If used on the ground you can’t fall off stage and you can determine distance by controlling back or forwards to decrease or increase momentum to not fall off stage. Now it is safer since you can control the entire move, can be used for recovery and no more suicides hopefully.
(Fix/Change)-(Slash Launcher)-(Thrust Lunge) You should stick your sword in a thrusting position and keep it in front at all times so you can hit multiple opponents when using this instead of only 1 launching diagonally at a low angle Weak/Medium. Now you could possibly combo them afterwards, penetrate through multiple foes and at least knock them off stage easier it’s too weak for a single target attack but good for multi targets. I changed the name to sound more like how I changed it.
(Fix)-(Chakram) Very slow and hard to use because you have to do a smash attack with the B button which feels very weird. Startup and Cool down should be decreased by 50% and it should always get thrown far. The short ranged version isn’t useful at all because you can be easily punished and it just hangs around there it’s just harder to use since you have to use a smash attack to send it far all the time. This is basically (Shuriken of Light) that can always be angled and penetrates through foes needs more knockback Weak instead of just causing flinching.
(Fix)-(Reversal Slash) Change the animation to an upwards slash and increase its range very hard to hit and reflect with right now. Allow this to knock foes back Medium causing them to flinch so they can attempt to recover again so it’s not like Mario’s Matador (Cape) he never used.
(Fix)-(Final Smash)-(Final Edge) I got an issue with this name. If it’s a Final Edge shouldn’t it be just 1 slash not a flurry of them? Change it to 1 large curved vertical slash deals 20% damage goes across the whole stage penetrates through everything in its path and should be fast so it cannot be evaded as easily.
This character just has over powered Special Moves and some that suck but again solid normal attacks. They have a combination of Mario’s Normal attacks, Captain Falcon’s Offensive Special Moves that’s really it for your summary. Last one this by its name should have been like an all around martial artist but instead they only use their fist and feet except for (Shot Putt) that came out of nowhere.
(Fix)-(Throws) All of them should have Strong and Medium knock back this is a hard hitter but doesn’t have any K.O throws and cannot have a combo throw since they have (Helicopter Kick).
(Fix)-(Shot Putt) Allow us to angle this move upwards and downwards to adjust its trajectory. The higher you putt it the more power it has because gravity Medium/Strong. Also reduce the start up by 25% and allow the ball to fall all the way off screen instead of disappearing so it could ledge guard. You should also still be able to use the move if a ball is still on screen. Don’t understand what this move is it looks very strange where the hell did they find this?
(Fix)-(Ultimate Uppercut) Allow this to gradually increase damage instead of only when fully charged for some reason.
(Fix)-(Exploding Side Kick) This is way too powerful and does 25% damage, dashes forward and faster than a (Falcon Punch)… Copy my changes basically. Slow it down to the speed of a (Falcon Punch) and remove the lunge forwards. It’s a powered up Bowser’s Side Smash Attack basically right now gonna get into him in part 5.
(Fix)-(Helicopter Kick) This can K.O at 30% if the foe is dragged off stage because of its large horizontal movement and you can still make it back to the ledge. It can also still be used without starting a combo because it's that safe to use with all that horizontal movement and hit grounded foes. Decrease knockback to Medium, Strong if used on the ground but jumps before so you can’t hit grounded opponents while moving forward.
(Fix)-(Piston Punch) Double its horizontal movement and knock foes away instead of carrying them up into the top blast zone Medium.
(Fix)-(Onslaught) This move is really annoying because it can be spammed because it is very fast and hard to punish. Also if you dodge this the attack still activates so it’s even harder to avoid. Give it 50% more startup and cool down plus doesn’t activate if dodged you don’t understand how annoying this move is fight an opponent that spams this and see what I’m talking about.
(Fix)-(Burning Dropkick) Startup for the charge needs to be doubled so it can’t be used almost instantly with all that power and decrease power to Medium/Strong it’s a glorified headbutt just with your feet but has the launching power of a (Falcon Punch).
I have no Idea who this is but I feel bad for Pit even though I don’t think either of them should be in the game. All of her moves belong to Pit and all of Pit’s moves belong to her I don’t know how this got mixed up again Sakurai made these characters so she got the nod. Kid Icarus Uprising was pretty much made to give her a move set even though their Pit’s moves but again probably she made them. This is one of my favorite characters to use because she’s a poor White Mage and has new moves for Customs instead of copies. If you are just decent at using this character White Mage would be on another planet so much better. Sorry excuse for a goddess no other way to put it.
Anyway she is annoying to me because she constantly giggles and her voice sounds like she is underwater. Her hair is weird it looks like it's been molded because the shape doesn't change even though her trophy has her hair splitting like normal hair yet it can still bend. One of her taunts is a literal pole dance on her staff why?
This is the worst character in the entire game can’t use any of her default Special Moves and her counter is weak but fair. Her Aerials are one of the best but her Ground game is just terrible the worst in the game and her Side and Down Smashes are so slow and weak. Her dash attack I like a lot though probably one of the only ones that are safe on shields the way they are now. I give Jigglypuff the edge because she doesn’t have a horrendous ground game and can ledge guard you at the blast zone once you’re off stage your finished since she has all those jumps and great horizontal movement and in a free for all her moves can actually hit. Palutena’s default Special Moves won’t work in either mode but the only over powered moves she has is one of the most powerful Up Aerial and Up Smashes.
This is a heavy grappler makes no sense by her physique but she literally cannot fight unless she grabs the opponent or gets them in the air somehow. Her grab is only good because she can true combo a neutral aerial to rack up damage or an up aerial to K.O at 80% out of a down throw but my Combo Throw fix won’t allow that anymore plus her grab range is pitiful. She cannot get close because she has no moves or speed to do so if she cannot get grabs it shuts her down completely. This is a really broken character and it's a shame seeing how she's supposed to be a “God”. My (Gameplay) section made it worse since she has the worst ground game she can’t push shields at all with her move set on the ground. I have to fix her Ground, Smashes and almost all of her Special Moves to make her any good. The Ground Attack fixes are going to look like the characters I made move sets. Her only good Specials are Up Specials their really good for various situations.
(Gameplay) Attack is 80% and Defense is 80%. Worst in the game I buffed and weakened certain Special Moves (Super Speed) and (Lightweight) aren’t as powerful if combined now Ground Attacks should now be usable and a little more Grab range. Probably Mid Tier now I hope.
(Fix)-(Grab) Give it 50% more range it’s too short right now probably just a little further than Little Mac’s right now just terrible.
(Fix)-(Smash Attacks) Remove the wind from the Side and Down smashes, Up Smash should lose knockback and damage based on how far from the ground they are and charging should increase its vertical range so it can’t be spammed to stop someone from landing at full charge. Fully charged it should be as tall as it is now no charge it’s about knee high. They all should be Strong/Powerful the wind could interrupt recoveries so I had to remove it.
(Fix)-(Ground Attacks) She is the opposite of Little Mac. She cannot fight on the ground at all because her ground attacks startup slow and linger for a long time cool down isn’t any better. The only ground move I like is her Dash Attack. Gonna have to fix pretty much all of them individually.
. Neutral: Her neutral attack is good for setting up grabs but extremely short range and bad for a jab combo just grab them instead. Make her Side Attack her Neutral but make startup 50% faster, make it a rapid attack while spinning her staff and add a burst of light as a finisher to launch Medium.
Side: Her Side Attack is very slow and it never seems to hit all 3 attacks unless they're positioned perfectly. Plus there is high cool down and startup. I changed this into her Neutral Jab so change this to a downwards slash with the top of her staff to knock foes back she really needs a get off me move Strong.
Up: This move is very hard to get foes in and if you actually do they can easily get out for some reason only situation to use is if they are trying to land on top of you as an anti aerial. The length it last is horrifying if you miss which is very likely. To fix allow her to use her wings to flap upwards to hit foes on her sides and above knocking them upwards Medium kinda like Charizard’s.
Down: This move is one of her better attacks but it lingers for awhile making it slow and punishable. Just give her a jab kick Weak.
(Fix)-(Up Aerial) Knockback should be Medium too strong looks much weaker.
Now for the Special Moves.
(Fix)-(Autoreticle) Very slow, hard to hit with and you are open to attack if they dodge or is a fast character they can just dash under it. It is very annoying for large characters though because it is very hard to avoid since the projectiles are so big. They have to be mid range for it to even target an enemy but it’s a projectile supposed to be used at long range if you get within its current range it will make you vulnerable. To fix disable its auto targeting and allow you to aim with the control stick before it shoots in any direction the ray of light is in but can only shoot them straight so you can’t spray them across the entire ray of light and give it Weak knockback penetrates through foes so it’s not a wall of projectiles anymore and actually knocks them back now.
(Fix)-(Heavenly Light) This move is possibly the worst custom in the game and it is only good for trophy rush. Only use offensively for this is to hit foes while they are stunned to rack up damage without causing flinching so you can use a smash attack later. But the thing is she doesn’t have anything that’s good at breaking shields and stun has been weakened. Terrible in a 1 on 1 but you could use this in a free for all to do a lot of chip damage if you find a safe space below or between everyone since they aren’t focusing on you. This can rack up a lot of damage very quickly but you are exposed while doing so and it pushes them away decreasing damage dealt the way it is now.
To fix give it 25% faster startup and cool down, super armor to absorb up to 15% damage, pull foes in instead of pushing away to increase damage done, should deal high shield damage (Holy) elemental and when cancelling the move allow it to burst the pillar of light to knock foes back Weak. I gave her super armor, activates faster, can break shields and a burst of light to knock foes back when released.
(Fix)-(Explosive Flame) This is slow, weak and It seems to miss easily leaving you wide open because it leaves a space that opponents can just stay in or out to attack or avoid this move. It isn’t even that powerful for how slow it is. Looks like a Side Special.
To fix just make it a chargeable projectile. When she sticks her staff forward you can charge it for up to 3 seconds charging the flame before blasting it forward which multi-hits before launching Medium/Strong charge increases speed and size uncharged should be smaller.
(Fix)-(Reflect Barrier) They combined this with her (Counter’s) shield for some reason but this move can still be good on its own. Back to the original move it barely moves at all, the push is almost non-existent but can trap if timed perfectly, the attack barely does anything and it's useless against characters with no projectiles. It doesn’t last very long I’m going to change it to be true to its name a “Barrier” that can “Reflect”.
Allow this to be charged for up to 5 seconds to increase the time it is active and damage that can be reflected fully charged it last 10 seconds and reflects 25% damage uncharged 5 seconds 10% damage before broken and cannot be used for 15 seconds. This does not push anymore you just place the mirror in front as it takes damage the barrier cracks before it breaks like shields do. Your projectiles while you have this mirror up can pass through though.
(Fix)-(Angelic Missile) Allow this to bounce you backwards when colliding with shields like Peach’s (Peach Bomber) does.
(Fix)-(Super Speed) It’s not bad but remove the penalty if she uses an attack increase the cool down on the attack instead of not being able to use this for 3 seconds the attack should have 25% extra power. This just allows you to get in opponents face faster but her move set is not good for that the best decision is a dash attack or jump for horizontal recovery. Give it 15% damage super armor if on the ground so you can absorb projectiles and weak attacks to get to your target without avoiding attacks. It’s a speed boost that enhances your next moves power basically or if you want to do a long jump like Sonic’s (Spin Dash) an extended Dash Attack but has more power.
(Fix)-(Lightweight) You basically cast (Float) with (Haste) along with it you should only have (Float). She can K.O very early off the top with this because she has increased jump height making her down throw true combo into Up Aerial which carries the opponent upwards with her even at high damage% so It can K.O at anytime. It isn’t even hard to control seeing how fast you move.
To fix while this is active don’t increase her horizontal speed only height since it’s called “Lightweight” and remove the increased damage taken and 5 second sluggishness penalties. Now it’s only for vertical movement and your falling speed is slower since you’re lighter but please don’t decrease her Defense. Useful for Aerial fights or recoveries.
(Fix)-(Celestial Fireworks) This move just looks bad and is bad I’m going to make it true to its name. Shoots a firework high into the sky you can click Down Special again to activate the fireworks or on impact with an opponent but the higher they go the larger and more powerful they should be but launches diagonally at a low angle so it cannot K.O at the top blast zone as easily Medium/Strong.
Honestly nobody likes Pit he’s annoying and wears a skirt but he’s not as annoying as he was in Brawl though move set and personality. Kiraflax my 2nd favorite competitive player mains this character they are clones so I combined their section he basically has 2 sets of customs with Dark Pit just their mostly copies and Dark Pit’s versions are slower but more powerful, I like Dark Pit’s (Electroshock Arm) because it looks like he’s smacking you upside the head with a washing machine.
Their Side Special is underrated it’s really good it has super armor so it can go through attacks and very powerful it’s a better (Raptor Boost). Their bow deals good damage from far distance even though they’re not supposed to be bent in the original game their supposed to be regular arrows not magical ones. Up Special is one of the best recoveries since it’s invincible and goes very far but needs adjustments and his Down Special can block while airborne extremely good and is fair because it breaks but it still increases the power of reflected projectiles but should be fixed now.
His move set is suitable for every situation and he can play any playstyle. He has lots of multi-hitting moves making it very annoying to get close. He’s not bad at all he’s at the same table as Pac-Man in terms of fairness but he does have K.O Aerials but that shouldn’t be a problem anymore. He has very few fixes.
(Gameplay) Attack is 100% and Defense is 100%. Very solid character I would put him closer to High Tier than Mid he’s just not very popular cause he shouldn’t be here but it’s Sakurai’s character so he got in.
(Fix)-(Neutral Ground Attack) If you are getting hit by the very tip of the rapid attack it sucks you in continuously so you cannot escape until he does the finishing move. All other characters rapid attack pushes them back not pull them in why does Pit’s do that? Don’t allow the tip to suck you in anymore.
(Fix)-(Up Specials) Allow him to grab the ledge even if he uses this move close to it. Right now it will just go past the ledge giving your opponent a free ledge guard because of helpless falling. This should knock foes away Medium/Weak and remove its invincibility so you can ledge guard this move and allow it to be used in downwards directions. On impact with a surface it should have a shockwave to knock foes back Medium/Weak to land safely.
(Fix)-(Side Specials) When using this airborne can you decrease the cool down by 75%? I'm not sure why it takes so long if used airborne. It doesn't spike or anything and allow this to keep his momentum for horizontal movement I think this was just them trying to avoid using helpless falling. Also you should be able to click special again to activate the attack earlier and reflect projectiles right now projectiles get in the way even the smallest one activates it. Just have the super armor absorb the damage so you can get to the opponent unless if it’s a very powerful one you can manually attack to reflect.
