Split Second: Can your car outrun a building?

While Dale may think that Forza Motorsport 3 is one of the best racing games ever made, it’s not a game where buildings explode. Or planes crash. Or cars flip over on top of one another before exploding and going head-first towards an oil tanker that then explodes and takes out six other cars.

Split/Second, on the other hand, is. That’s the reason why I’ve got my eye on this game, designed by the same folks who designed the hella solid racer, Pure. The game has you building up power to detonate “triggers” in the environment, like the ability to knock over an entire building or destroy a bridge are your opponents drive beneath it.

Sounds good? Yes, I’d say. Split/Second is schedule for release in 2010 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
