Splinter Cell: Conviction delayed until 2008

Recommended Videos

The latest installment in the Splinter Cell series, Splinter Cell: Convitction, has been pushed back until 2008. This might sound like horrible news at first, especially if you were really looking forward to the game, but it’s not all that bad.

If you’ve seen the gameplay videos, you know how ambitious Conviction is. Being able to use every object on screen is cool, but wasting your time trying to figure out what can and cannot be picked up is definitely not something we want to happen. Thanks to the delay, Ubisoft will have more time to polish Conviction, resulting in a better overall game.

If that’s not reason enough, let me remind you that this holiday season is already overcrowded with many must-play releases — this is just one less you’ll have to buy.
