Splatterhouse set for Halloween release

Recommended Videos

After many years of waiting, Namco Bandai has finally given us a release window for the in-development-for-10,000-years retro revival Splatterhouse. The gore-laden beat ’em up is set for a very appropriate Halloween release.

Splatterhouse has had a long and troubled development, switching hands between developers at least once and finding itself subject to a dispute between original studio Bottlerocket and the publisher. These problems behind the scenes have led me to be worried about the game’s quality, but I will most certainly check the game out when it’s released and I’ll keep a faint glimmer of hope for good things.

Anybody else checking this one out when it finally releases?
