Oh Sony and Microsoft, can’t you just get along? Sony is claiming that the PlayStation 3’s 2.5 firmware update will allow it to browse the Internet faster than Internet Explorer 7, along with some shiny Flash 9 support. Take that Microsoft, you jerks!
According to Sony Computer Entertainment, the browsing speed of the PS3 has been increased by 2.8. The company admits that this isn’t fast enough to beat out Google Chrome, but is content to outrun MS’ own Internet Explorer.
You all use your PS3s to browse the Internet, by the way. That is why this is important.
