Sweet baby Jesus. What on Earth has Sega done to these screens of Comix Zone and Golden Axe (I, II, and III), taken from the upcoming Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection, coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 next year?
The filter applied to these games to make them look less “16-bit” and more, uh — damn, I don’t even know … well, it’s hurting my brain. The good news is that it can be turned off, giving the games a more classic Genesis look and feel. Phew.
It’s a good thing, too, because the collection looks crazy good, featuring over 40 Genesis classics from Altered Beast to Sonic the Hedgehog, and E-SWAT to Streets of Rage. The full list (minus the unlockables) can be found after the jump, and it’s a damned fine collection that any fan of Sega or the Genesis is going to put on their “DO WANT” list.
But this filter needs to go, Sega. Seriously. My eyes. Am I the only one who’s thinking this?
