I always felt like Sega and Atlus being part of the same company is a little weird, and now they’re making it official. In case you missed it, Sega released Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation Dx2 in 2018 worldwide, and you guessed it, it’s a gacha game. But what’s exceedingly more interesting than the monetization scheme is the various crossovers it entails. Like this one, from Sonic!

Announced on the game’s official site, Sonic will be a “limited time only” demon, as a celebration of his 30th anniversary. He’s a four star character (ugh), and will run from today at 23:00 PT until July 7 at 22:59 PT, and is a speedster with supersonic hedgehog (saves him from a lethal hit once) and spin dash (physical damage on random enemies) skills. He also has access to good aim, agility amp II, endure, and….serial killer skills. Haha man, these crossovers kill me.

As a reminder, Sonic has recently crossed over into games like Minecraft, amid other events that are running for his anniversary. This one for Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation Dx2 was strangely not announced at that time, despite being available in the west.
