Sonic 2 mobile remaster has long-lost Hidden Palace Zone

0

A Ponce in a lifetime chance!

A remastered Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is launching on Android on December 13. It comes from the team that created the engine used in the excellent Sonic CD port from a few years ago. Even cooler, it will include a finished, playable version of the scrapped Hidden Palace Zone, the remnants of which originally appeared as downloadable prototypes. Now we get the full thing.

The iOS version of the game is also getting a free update that replaces the original port and includes the Hidden Palace Zone.

Certainly something I'd like to see and play on a device that isn't a mobile phone. I guess the best option is controller attachments, unless these somehow play well with touch controls.

Remastered Sonic the Hedgehog 2 hits Android, iOS tomorrow with bonus Hidden Palace Zone [Joystiq]
