Today, Sony announced SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 for the PlayStation Portable today on their official PlayStation blog. The title is being developed by Slant Six, the studio responsible for SOCOM: Confrontation on the PlayStation 3 and SOCOM: Tactical Strike on the PSP.
Bravo 3’s action details are still being guarded, but Sony did share a bit of the story with their devout audience. Apparently, in Bravo 3 you’ll be leading a “covert operation” to capture an ex-KGB agent who has knowledge of a “forthcoming attack with weapons of mass destruction.” So, get the info, save the cheerleader.
And don’t worry about multiplayer — it’s happening. Slant Six are bringing online competition, voice chat, and leaderboard integration to the PSP title.
No word on release, but we’re guessing it’s going to drop sooner rather than later. (Thanks, crystal ball.)
