So, Mortal Kombat XL is heading to PC

Better late than never?

WB Games has been giving players the run around with PC support as of late, but it looks like there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Mortal Kombat XL has now been confirmed for PC release, or at least Kombat Pack 2 is heading to Steam.

The port is still not being handled by NeverRealm Studios, but by a company called Qloc. They are a Polish company that has been responsible for most of Capcom's recent PC ports, so at least we can rest easy about the quality.

Current owners of Mortal Kombat X on Steam will get a free update on October 4 that fixes all problems with netcode and stability. They won't, however, be given Kombat Pack 2 for free (or any of the other crap that comes in XL). I feel that is the wrong move, but what can you do?

No price point has been announced for this new version, but I wouldn't be surprised to see $59.99. This could follow in the footsteps of Batman: Arkham Knight and offer up Mortal Kombat (2011) for free, but I'm not about to have my faith in humanity restored.
