As the clock spins its hands to the end of September, it is clear that the Holiday season is just around the corner. And if you know a video game fan that likes to decorate their house for the festive season, then perhaps point them in the direction of this super adorable SNES tree ornament, which is available from international card-peddlers Hallmark.

The Super Nintendo Entertainment System Console (SNES) Ornament With Light and Sound is, as the name would suggest a tree ornament fashioned after the Super Nintendo Entertainment System that emits Light and Sound. The dinky three-inch replica depicts a Nintendo’s legendary 16-bit console, complete with two controllers and a little Super Mario World cartridge. So cute! Furthermore, once activated, the power light flashes and we get to hear some of the classic game’s score, complete with sound effects and the iconic victory fanfare. It’s the true meaning of Christmas! Or something.

If you want to bag The Super Nintendo Entertainment System Console (SNES) Ornament With Light and Sound for your holiday tree, then visit the official Hallmark website, where you can pick up the decoration for a princely $19.99 (USD). You don’t even have to own a holiday tree. It’s not the law. You could just hang the mini SNES from your school bag, or a bathroom cactus, or anything really. Remember, The Super Nintendo Entertainment System Console (SNES) Ornament With Light and Sound is for life, not just for Christmas.

(Since writing this article, our own CJ Andriessen has informed me that these have been available for some time. But if you haven’t seen them, it’s new to you! So I’m posting it anyway in the spirit of the season… The season being “Fall”.)
