Smile-inducing farm sim Stardew Valley hits Mac, Linux next week

0

Perfect for my MacBook Air

Stardew Valley is one of those games I'm bound to keep buying as it shows up on more platforms. I can't help it! The pleasant farming life simulator has this soothing quality that's just so appealing.

Up next, we're getting Mac and Linux versions of the game on Friday, July 29.

Folks who own Stardew Valley on PC won't need to pay again for these new ports, and save data will transfer, though designer Eric Barone says he's "not sure yet if Steam Cloud will handle it all for you or if some manual copy + pasting will be involved."

Also, "Multiplayer, localizations, and the version 1.1 update are still in progress." For more on what that update entails (new late-game content! enhanced mining and combat!), give this blog post a read.
