Smash Bros. Ultimate 3.0 update set for this spring

Joker's out before the end of April

I feel like we only just got Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's big Version 2.0 update and our devious new potted friend, but Nintendo is already toiling away on what's next. As teased in today's Nintendo Direct, Version 3.0 is scheduled for "this spring." What's included? "You'll just have to wait to find out."

The game's first DLC guest character, Persona's Joker, will join the roster "before the end of April."

Nintendo also reminded fans with disposable income that Snake, Simon, Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Pokémon Trainer amiibo figures are on the way this year. Better start building a new shelf for the little guys.
