Skyrim hoarding hits home for every RPG player ever

Hoarders is an A&E documentary show about compulsive hoarders. Skyrim is a game in which you collect a lot of sh*t. Naturally, the two go together like white on rice.

In all honesty, you don’t have to be a hardcore Elder Scrolls fan to relate to Glarthir’s extreme behavior. Anyone who has ever played an RPG or any other game with an exhaustive inventory is familiar with the obsessive desire to amass a variety of items regardless of their practicality. This goes double for single-use, status-inflicting tools, because when the hell would you ever want to waste a turn on potentially reducing a monster’s critical hit ratio rather than dealing physical damage?

Oh, but heaven forbid you might actually need 99 fire bombs, in the odd event that you completely run out of MP and mana-restoring potions and can’t cast any of your high-level spells. There’s only one major story battle left in the game, but you never know! And you don’t just pick that sh*t up from loot drops or treasure chests. You’ve got an extra 200,000 gold lining your pocket! You’re gonna visit the shop and max out every single thing in your bag because otherwise you’ve failed as a human being!
