Internet calling service Skype could get the PS3 hook-up, which will give the console the functionality that its portable little brother, the PSP, already has.
Michael Ephraim, Managing Director of Sony Computer Entertainment Australia, responded to a user asking if the service will ever come to the PS3. While he didn’t confirm that it would, it did sound like Sony has at least thought aboutÂ
“Our global development teams certainly take into account the relative desirability of the feature set, so consumer needs and technology innovation really drive the product development process.” said Ephraim.
He at least gives it possibility status: Â “It’s impossible to look into the future but I would guess, like everything, it’s a possibility particularly with PS3 system software upgrade ability.”
