Shutterstock offers VR stock images, gets roasted by LA Mag

Your solution to pretty girls and vegan hotdogs

We look dumb in VR headsets, there's just no getting around it. The first generation of commercially available gaming headsets are gigantic, clumsy paperweights. No matter how studly you think you are you're going to look like a drugged horse in blinders dropped into a swimming pool full of dollar bills just out of your reach. The limp hands and cowering pose was perhaps best captured by Time Magazine when Oculus founder Luckey Palmer became an overnight meme sensation. At least that's authentic and the games are really cool. It can only get worse if you try too hard, and that's exactly what happened.

LA Magazine got their hands on a collection of photos from Shutterstock that try to solve this problem by hiring beautiful people posing in totally casual office and outdoor scenarios, like in a swimming pool. Seriously? Check out the full article and ponder the doomed fate of humanity.

This is totally me at work!
