3D Dot Game Heroes doesn’t try to hide what it is and I respect that. One can call it a Zelda clone and they’d be falling right in line with the marketing.
Take this brilliantly funny European trailer as an example. The premise is good on its own, an advertisement for the game’s shops that shows off some of the equipment you’ll use on a playthrough. But then it lays the Zelda references on thick, just in case the footage didn’t give it away already.
Just a little more than a month to go until we can all be playing it. 3D Dot Game Heroes is coming to PS3 in North America on May 11th and Europe a few days later on May 14th. Yay!
