At some point after the PC release, BioWare’s upcoming RPG Dragon Age: Origins will be coming to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. While specifics of release are still unknown, lead designer of the game Brent Knowles was willing to at least say that the console version of the game will be much like the PC experience.
In an interview with Eurogamer, Knowles said that Dragon Age will have “the whole feature set of the PC experience,” and the proof is in the prototype. From the interview:
My first experiences with the console prototype have shown that we have to put some work in the interface but the main features work pretty well. I even sometimes play the PC build with the Xbox 360 controller, which makes it a lot of fun.
Playing a PC game with a console controller is certainly a good sign that the game will translate well. I have a secret hope that Dragon Age can fill my desire for another Elder Scrolls-type of experience. Hopefully this time around the horse armor will be free.
