Sell your Wii remote: Smash Bros. Brawl compatible with four control schemes

No more fighting, folks. Super Smash Bros. Brawl‘s designer, Masahiro Sakurai, has revealed on the site’s official page that you’re going to have choices when it comes to how you play the game. As Sakurai put it, the Wii is versatile, allowing for four different control schemes. He just had “no choice but implement [sic] them all!”

He then goes on to say that he recommends the GameCube controller, effectively confirming the fact that the Nintendo Wii is really, after all, two GameCube’s duct taped together. Still, fans of the waggle and poke should fear not — Wii remote specific actions should be present.

“Hmm? How do you do smashes and dashes with just the Wii Remote?” Sakurai muses. “If I get the chance to tell you, I will.”

I’m assuming the game is going to come with an instruction manual, Sakurai-san. Don’t put yourself out; just release the game this year.
