Sandbox building game Lego Worlds headed to PS4, Xbox One

It's also exiting Early Access in February

An official Lego take on the formula popularized by Minecraft seemed like a good idea last year when TT Games debuted Lego Worlds on Steam Early Access, and it still does today.

The open-world building and exploration game hasn't had its full PC release yet, despite an initial estimate that the Early Access period would wrap in 2016, but it's happening relatively soon. Lego Worlds will see a final release on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on February 21, 2017.

Goodness, we've come such a long way since the Lego Island days.

I know some of you don't mess with Steam Early Access on principle, but it is worth noting that the current price of $14.99 is "reduced," so expect that to go up by an as-yet-unknown amount at launch.

And as far as the console versions go, there's a bit of timed exclusivity to keep in mind, not that you'd expect any different. It's always gotta be something! "A separate LEGO Agents DLC pack, featuring new characters, vehicles, weapons and more from the Agents range of play materials, will be available exclusively on PlayStation 4 for a limited time," says publisher Warner Bros.
