Strange one, this. According to reports, Sony has inked a deal with Electronic Arts to provide a second Beatles game this Christmas, adding to The Beatles: Rock Band with a SingStar game revolving around the Fab Four.
The report was broken by MCV, but the page containing this news seems to have disappeared. This could mean that the someone at Sony asked the site to take it down, or it could mean MCV screwed up and deleted evidence of its foul. Or it could just be that the page moved and it’s taking forever for me to find out because their site isn’t loading.
Either way, it would be quite odd to have two Beatles-themed games, especially as SingStar is more or less Rock Band without any instruments. Seems a bit redundant, really. Ah well, we’ll have to wait for an official announcement before judging too harshly.
