Have you heard of Auditorium? It’s a fantastic Flash game from the Philadelphia-based indie developer Cipher Prime. If you’re not familiar with it, you can read all about it in my Indie Nation article on the game; when you’re done, come back here. But if you already know what I’m talking about, and you’ve been waiting with bated breath for more news on Auditorium, like me, then you might want to keep reading.
On Monday, Cipher Prime announced on their blog that Auditorium had finally been given a release date: the full game will be available on January 30th for $10.99. It’s still going to be a browser-based game, so a number of individuals — especially those who had already donated to Cipher Prime — weren’t too thrilled with the idea of paying $11 for a Flash game.
But as it turned out, the guys at Cipher Prime didn’t forget about all the donations they’d received. Yesterday, in a show of good faith, they revealed that anyone who donated $5 or more will be able to get a full copy of the game for free. Yes, you read that right. Getting up to $5.99 back is a pretty awesome return on your investment, isn’t it?
They’ve also promised that, in the coming days, we’ll get more details on exactly what the full game will comprise. Will you guys be lining up to buy Auditorium next Friday?
