Rainbow Six Siege gets cross-play and cross-progression on PC, Stadia, and Luna June 30

…But console crossplay operators will have to stay frosty

During today’s Ubisoft Forward presentation, alongside the gameplay reveal of Rainbow Six Extraction, the Rainbow Six Siege development team finally announced crossplay and cross-progression for the tactical, team-based shooter. It took long enough, but it’s finally en route, fellow Siege fans.

The new features will allow PC, Stadia, and Luna players to jump into the field together from as soon as June 30. Unfortunately for console operators, the PlayStation and Xbox editions of Rainbow Six Siege will not be joining the crossplay party until “early 2022”. That’s admittedly a bit of a rough wait, but given Rainbow Six Siege‘s dedicated community — which continues to grow years after the title’s release — these new additions will help grow the excellent shooter title into the new generation.

In the meantime, check out this new animatic, focusing on new North Star operator, Thunderbird.
