I loves me a good, competitive puzzle game and will gladly take on any comers in Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo or Puyo Puyo any day of the week. This new puzzler, Puzzlegeddon, is one that I’m seriously looking into picking up. You can never have too many puzzle games to humiliate people in.
I downloaded the demo this afternoon and I’m fairly impressed. The game is pretty chaotic, with up to six players operating their own puzzle grid of icons depicting offensive and defensive capabilities. Once you’ve destroyed enough blocks by grouping like symbols, you can launch salvos of missiles at your opponents, defend against their attacks or activate your unique special ability.
Puzzlegeddon promises multiple game modes and several different characters with their own play styles to choose from. Check out the demo over at Pieces Interactive’s website. The full game releases next week, on November 27.
