PlayStation 3 owners, are you not content with simply having fun in Liberty City? Ever felt like there was something … missing?

We’ve confirmed with Rockstar Games this morning that on Monday, October 27th, an update will be made available for the PS3 version of Grand Theft Auto IV that will add trophies. There wlil be a total of 51 trophies in all, across all tiers – bronze, silver, gold, and platinum. It appears that many of the trophies, like “One Man Army” (surviving a six-star wanted level for five minutes), are “ported” directly from the Xbox 360 achievements.

If zombies weren’t enough of a reason to revisit Liberty City, maybe these trophies will be. According to Rockstar, the trophies will not be retroactive, which means you’ll get the chancel to revel in Roman Bellic’s love of “beeg American tee-tees” all over again.
