Project Natal not hitting this year

Microsoft’s Project Natal — a wireless gaming device that tracks a person’s full-body motion through a variety of sensors — isn’t hitting retail anytime soon. In fact, you won’t be able to get your hands, er, body in front of it this year according to Microsoft’s vice president of everything, John Schappert.

In an interview with MTV Multiplayer, Schappert simply said “Not in 2009,” in response to a possible 2010 release query.

Chances are you weren’t waiting for Project Natal to hit this year, but it would be silly if it didn’t release sometime soon. The Wii, you know, isn’t losing any steam.
