Onechanbara is a game where you control hot, half-naked women who kill hordes of zombies in very gory ways. The Japanese sure do come up with the best gaming concepts ever, don’t they?!

I got to get my perverted hands-on with Onechanbara for the Wii and Xbox 360 last week and had a ton of fun mindlessly killing hordes of zombies over and over, all while staring at some fine pieces of digital videogame ass. Hit the jump for more on Onechanbara and to also find out which version of the game is better.

Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers — Wii preview:

In the Onechanbara games, you’ll play as sisters Aya and Saki as they have to take on zombies and other monsters terrorizing the world. For some reason, the sisters have special blood that makes them super strong and it’s their duty to keep peace in the world … or something like that. Honestly, you’re not getting this game for the story now, are you?

Aya is more of a weapons girl as she carries around two swords and has daggers she can throw around. Saki is a brawler and has a lot of wrestling moves that she uses to go along with her one sword.

The game has a very Devil May Cry feel to it. You go through the very linear levels killing zombies and collecting energy orbs the zombies drop, which is used to upgrade Aya and Saki’s stats. Increasing your stats will give you more health, power and new moves to use.

Players will swing the Wiimote to make Aya and Saki attack with their weapons. With Aya, the nunchuk is used to control Aya’s second sword and moving both controllers in different patterns will have Aya perform special moves with her swords.

The more enemies you kill, the more bloody Aya, Saki and their weapons will get. If their weapons get too much blood on them, their attacks will inflict less damage and your weapons will get stuck in the zombies when stabbed. You’ll have to flick the blood off of your sword as you’re playing in order to prevent this.

Players will also have access to super moves that take out large groups of zombies and a rage mode that causes Aya and Saki to go super strong and take out everything with ease. Both the Super and Rage mode hurts Aya and Saki’s health so if you use these for too long, you’ll die.

Onechanbara Bikini Samurai Squad — Xbox 360 preview

The story is different in the Xbox 360 version of Onechanbara, but the core gameplay remains the same: Kill a shit ton of zombies while wearing next to nothing. Additionally, the Xbox 360 version will see two-player co-op and the ability to swap between Aya and Saki on the fly while playing.

The Xbox 360 version will also have a dress-up mode where you can get outfits for the main characters and dress them up. There will also be a section in the game where you’re riding a motorcycle and dismembering zombies as your ride pass them.

So which version is better? The Xbox 360 version for three reasons:

1. This video is the intro to the game (NSFW):

2. There’s a boss battle against a zombie Killer Whale.

3. HD GRAPHICS! Seriously, if you’re going to play a game where the main stars are more or less naked, you want to see it in high definition.

Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers and Onechanbara Bikini Samurai Squad will both be out inearly 2009.
