Pokemon Sword & Shield leak reveals new Gigantamax variants

Later this morning, Nintendo will drop a glut of new info on its highly-anticipated Switch releases Pokémon Sword & Shield. But it seems some image scans, recently uploaded to Spanish twitter account Centro Pokémon, have revealed some of these scoops a little early. Spoilers below, obviously.

The two images appear to show a selection of Sword & Shield's "Gigantamax" variants, huge, powerful forms of classic pokémon that can be used to improve your might in battle. The Gen 1 influence is strong here, with Pikachu, Charizard, and Eevee all sized up for action. Of note is an utterly terrifying Meowth, who is finally embracing the "long cat" meme.

This is likely to be just a fraction of the info that will be released by Nintendo this morning, so be sure to tune in again when the official video drops at 06:00 PT / 09:00 ET / 14:00 BST.
