Pokemon Go welcomes the Unova region today

Tepig snorts home

At long last, the Unova region will be joining Pokemon Go's ever-growing lineup of collectible critters. The one generation I don't know much about (I skipped most of the games after Gold and Silver until basically X and Y), players can start grabbing these Pokemon starting at 4 pm EST/1 pm PST/9 pm BST.

Niantic notes that we'll be able to capture Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Purrloin, Pidove, and Blitzle at first. Much like how the other generations were added to Go, things will come in waves. Since the first three I mentioned above are the starters, it was obvious they'd be available from the get-go. In raids, players will spot Lillipup, Patrat, and Klink.

You can find out more information over on the official blog.
