Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire are 'full remakes'


So there's that

Newly announced 3DS games Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire are obviously tied to GBA classics Ruby and Sapphire, but what are they really? New? Remakes? Or that terrible industry word -- reimagining? 

Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata cleared the issue up in Nintendo's financial briefing. In his words:

"They are full-remakes of the Game Boy Advance Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire games."

Other than that, you're on your own, as that's all we've got for now. I'm sure we'll hear much more next month at E3.
